Mithi river originates at Powai and terminates in the Arabian sea as the Mahim creek. It flows though many heavily populated residential and industrial areas, over a stretch of 15 km in Mumbai. It was once a major source of pure water for Mumbai. However, we have bitten the very have that feeds us, and so Mithi is now treated as a garbage dump. We, the educated people of Mumbai, must spread awareness and concern among others to prevent another disaster like 26/7. We have investigated in the matter and we wish to impart to you what we learned.
